Although the largest part of fish processing in the Republic of Croatia refers to small pelagic fish in IQF frozen or canned form and as salted and marinated anchovies, new products are constantly appearing on offer.
A lot is invested in modern ways of packaging and presenting products to ensure longer freshness of the product - modified atmosphere, skin packaging is used, etc.
The trends of the modern way of life are followed, so the fish is prepared and offered as ready to cook. More and more species are filleted (sea bream, sea bass, sardines, carp, silver carp, grass carp ...), or the fish is cut up and packaged and sold in the form of different cuts. Carp chips are also produced.
In addition to marinated anchovies, we offer marinated sea bream and sea bass in marinades of various flavors and various forms of packaging.
New products include breaded sardine fillets, smoked freshwater fish, cleaned prawns and shrimp in the form of cleaned and marinated tails.
The production of fish burgers and nuggets has begun.
There is a variety of spreads (smoked carp spread, cod in white spread...) and pâtés (from sardines, tuna, sea bass and mosquitoes...)
